Welcome back to my Nearsoft Academy powered by Encora. I really hope you and your family are great. It’s a hard moment for humanity but after rain comes a rainbow so, let's talk about this week.

Encora Party

Last week, Encora was celebrating one more year on the road. Usually, Nearsoft celebrated a week going to Hermosillo and making people be together as a team. But this time, covid hates party and everything must be virtual. But we were together in a virtual way, and celebrate a lot.

Drags and Dragons

One of the most amazing things I’ve seen in a company happens on that week.
There was a drag makeup workshop and it was amazing, because of some reasons. One of the most important values for encora is Diversity. And you can really feel that when you see a lot of people being just as they are, and being cool. That doesn't happen in a lot of companies and that amazing.

Bingo!

Another beautiful piece of that week was playing Family Bingo. Quarantine has been hard for us and our families, and play with them some games was peaceful. You must see that, I was playing Bingo with my grandmother and it was so exciting. My family is so competitive and that made my grandmother felt so happy. A company that makes your family be part of it is a great place to be. Finally, we won a Bingo game. Clap, clap.

Nearsoft/Encora

Changes are always great, maybe. But the transition is usually hard. About it, Encore is growing and bringing a lot of value to an international company. Nearsoft was always recognized as being a great place to work. Now, being part of encora there is a big challenge. How to fit with encora values, but maintain its own spirit. If this process is successful, It’s going to be an amazing example of how to make things happen.

Happy Aniversary

When you see more than 300 persons being happy and sharing a moment, you can be really grateful to be part of it. Encora, is a house for a lot of developers and code lovers, and it’s a place where you can found a lot of people willing to help you. If you really want to discover it, don't miss the next chance to become an academy. It’s hard, but you will love it.

Extra, Extra

One of the most important things that I have learned in Encora, is taking responsibility for things happening. This time, I must say thank you to all those people who made this week a place to grow and learn about Encora culture. Thanks for making 2020 a better place to live.

Last week, I made my first contribution to an open-source project. Learn about a lot of people making fantastic projects and sharing them with the world, is a good idea to learn about that huge coding world. I think it’s the first step on a long road but is great to know where can you begin.
